Katrina Adams from Mount Olive, Alabama
Katrina Adams, also known as KMarie, is the founder of KMarie Kitchen, where she focuses on good food and intentional living. She doesn’t just share recipes, she also helps set the tone for moments that matter. Whether it’s a holiday dinner, a casual girls’ night in or your child’s birthday party, Katrina believes food and hospitality should always feel like you—personal, soulful and full of heart.
She grew up knowing the kitchen was more than just a place to cook—it was where stories were told, traditions were passed down, and love was served on every plate. That’s the spirit she tries to bring into every recipe, blog post and piece of content she creates. Katrina’s best recipes range from southern classics and quick 30-minute meals to fun cocktails and family-friendly snacks.
As a self-taught home cook, she takes pride in building her brand from the ground up. Along the way, she has become an award-winning food blogger and content creator with a growing audience that trusts her style, flavors and honest approach to entertaining—and life.
Taste of Home: How did you learn to cook?
Katrina Adams: Growing up watching my mom cook with love and passion inspired me to learn how to cook. I am also named after my two aunts on my dad’s side, and they are both the primary cooks in the family out of 13 kids. I always tell people that it’s naturally in my genes to cook!
TOH: What is your favorite recipe you’ve had published to Taste of Home?
KA: It has to be my Cookie Butter Pie—it won the grand prize in 2019 for a Taste of Home contest.
TOH: What’s the next cooking skill you want to master?
KA: I want to master breads and learn better knife skills.
TOH: What’s your favorite kitchen hack that you now live by?
KA: Clean as you go!
